Foundation Initiatives

Preserving traditional knowledge

Alongside the platform, Bharath Oshadhi Raksha Foundation continues its own work on the ground.

Herbal Knowledge Collection

Gathering forgotten herbal recipes passed down by traditional practitioners, so the knowledge is recorded before it is lost.

Herbal Gardens & Medicinal Plants

Designing small herbal gardens and exploring National Medicinal Plants Board schemes for sustainable cultivation at the village level.

Traditional Rice Varieties

Cultivating heritage rice — including 60-day, 10-month, red and black varieties — to preserve traditional agricultural knowledge.

Processing Equipment Documentation

Documenting the varieties of Kharals (stone mortars) used to process each Ayurvedic mineral, plant or animal-origin material correctly.

Special Initiative

Project NAYANA YOGA

Research into herbal leafy vegetables named in classical Ayurvedic texts and traditionally associated with eye health. Five species — Jivanthi, Bathua, Matsyakshi, Meghnad and Punarnava — are being studied for cultivation in small pots and on rooftops.
